The Gardens - Landscaping Projects (requiring chain saw or tractor)
The first project we did after getting the tractor in Spring 2011 was to level the firepit area and make a retaining wall. Here are a few pictures. Thank goodness our friends will work for beer!
Before. Guests had a tendency to fall over backwards off the hill!
Built the dry-stacked wall from rocks on the property, then levelled the area, then gravelled it. Figured the cold winters would heave up paving stones.
Found some gorgeous large rocks - begging to be made into furniture! Thank goodness for prybar weilding friends. Had to drag this one via ATV - down the hill to the tractor.
Moving the bench seat.
Phew, a hard day's work is over.
Just rewards.
